Terms of Service

The rules for using AscendMock.

Last updated November 3, 2026. By creating an account or using AscendMock, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

AscendMock is operated by Isaiah Chae, an individual based in the State of Washington, USA. "We" and "us" in these terms mean the operator of AscendMock.

Who can use AscendMock

  • You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password private and for activity on your account.
  • Organizations that invite members are responsible for having permission to do so.

What AscendMock is, and isn't

AscendMock provides practice interviews and AI-generated feedback for preparation. Feedback and scores are guidance based on the text of your practice answers. They are not a judgment of your ability, a prediction of any interview outcome, or professional career, legal, or admissions advice. AI output can be wrong; use your own judgment. Read how feedback works on our Responsible AI page.

Plans and billing

  • The Free plan includes a limited number of practice interviews each month.
  • Ascend Pro is $5 per month (plus any applicable tax), billed in advance each month through our payment processor, Stripe, until you cancel.
  • You can cancel anytime from your Account page. Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
  • Organizations can buy Ascend Pro seats for members at $4 per seat per month, billed to the organization's admin through Stripe. A member keeps Pro only while they hold a seat and the sponsorship is active.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next billing period.
  • Monthly limits count interviews you start, including ones you later delete.

Your content

You own the answers and information you submit. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you: generating questions, analyzing answers, and showing you your reports and progress. If you join an organization, that organization sees only what its page tells you it can see. We don't sell your content. See the Privacy page for details, and delete your data anytime from your account.

Acceptable use

Don't use AscendMock to:

  • break the law, or upload content you don't have the right to share;
  • submit other people's personal information without their permission;
  • try to access other accounts, disrupt the service, or get around usage limits or security;
  • scrape, resell, or automate access to the service or its AI feedback.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your Account page; deletion is immediate and permanent. We may stop offering all or part of the service. If we close a paid account without cause, we'll refund the unused part of the current billing period.

Disclaimers and liability

AscendMock is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any interview, admissions, or hiring outcome. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes and contact

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above and notify account holders by email before they take effect. Questions? Email isaiahchae@gmail.com.
