Responsible AI
Preparation guidance, not a verdict.
AscendMock helps you practice. It doesn't decide who you are or whether you'll be hired.
What our feedback is, and isn't
- It is evidence-based preparation guidance tied to what you actually said.
- It is not a prediction of hiring outcomes, and not a judgment of your ability or employability.
- We won't tell you that you will, or won't, get an opportunity.
How scoring works
Every answer is rated against the same rubric. Your overall score is computed from the category scores using the weights below. The AI never invents the overall number on its own.
| Category | What it asks | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Communication | Was the response clear and understandable? | 20% |
| Answer Quality | Did the response actually answer the question? | 20% |
| Relevance | Was the information relevant? | 15% |
| Structure | Was the answer organized effectively? | 15% |
| Specificity | Did you use specific examples and details? | 15% |
| Professionalism | Was the response appropriate for an interview? | 10% |
| Confidence | Did the wording sound decisive rather than hedged? | 5% |
Limits you should know about
- Confidence is inferred only from the wording of your answer, such as decisiveness and unnecessary hedging. It says nothing about how you feel.
- We don't analyze video, facial expressions, voice tone, or appearance.
- AI feedback can be wrong or miss context. Use it as one input alongside mentors, career centers, and your own judgment.
- Sample or demo feedback, when shown, is always clearly labeled.
